Interfaith Power & Light (IPL) is working to help houses of worship across the United States to model care for those who suffer most from the impacts of climate change. This includes action for energy efficient buildings, utilizing renewable energy, and leadership to care for earth, our common home. As communities of faith organizing a religious response to global warming, we believe that climate disruption is among the greatest challenges that humanity has ever encountered.
We commit ourselves to the moral imperative of preserving and protecting the planet for generations to come. IPL advocates for energy policies that reduce greenhouse gas pollution, protect the health, beauty, and integrity of earth, support the health of human communities, and promote the use of clean energy.
As people of faith, our policy positions are informed by the moral obligation to advocate alongside those who most suffer from the impacts of climate change.
