Washington, DC December 21, 2021; The EPA finalized the new rule to cut pollution from new cars and light-duty trucks, a measure which will cut millions of tons of carbon dioxide and other pollutants from the atmosphere.”

The standards from model years 2023-2026, signed yesterday by EPA Administrator Michael Regan, require that cars, SUVs, require that cars, SUVs and pickup trucks release an average of 161 grams of carbon dioxide per mile by 2026.
